Khan of Kalat Sees Balochs Close to “Independence”

LONDON/QUETTA: The Khan of Kalat Mir Suleman Daud Khan has appealed to Balochs to contrive unity among their rank-and-file as they were close to their ultimate goal for independence.

“Muslims are celebrating Eidul Azha by following Ibrahimi practice while Pakistani establishment is playing a bloody game with the blood of innocent Baloch people in Balochistan by sending decomposed bodies of Baloch youth after abducting them from their houses and torturing in its torture cells,” he expressed these views while talking to a group of newsmen via telephone from London on Friday.

Mir Suleman Daud said that he made appeal to common Baloch whether be political or non-political or tribal living not even in Balochistan and Pakistan but in region particularly working in middle eastern countries to gather under Balochi flag as they were close to achieve their objective of independence.

He expressed his sympathies with the mothers, fathers and sisters of those who had been picked by intelligence agencies and brutally killed and said it was a message for Baloch population to take out the longing and thoughts of independence from their hearts and minds.

“Establishment has badly failed in its objectives as despite worst kind of brutality, it could not quell Baloch struggle for independence,” he said and adding that the passion among Baloch increased with every decomposed body fell.

He said that although Baloch nation was presently weak and fighting with a powerful enemy, it would never remain weak and very soon would achieve its desired goal.

He said that thousands of Baloch including Nawab Akbar Bugti, Balach Marri, Ghulam Mohammad, Lala Munir and Sher Muhammad had been martyred right from 2000.

He said that those who thought that they would remain safe for being silent or by remaining inactive in their courtyards were mistaken as Pakistani establishment had decided to wipe out Baloch as nation. “History is evident that Baloch have been facing aggression with great valour but never bowed,” he added.

Khan Kalat said that the leaders like him living in exile were not leading luxurious lives, but were living in miserable condition struggling for seeking the world attention towards Baloch plights and cruelties of Pakistani establishment against them. He said that to a great extent, Baloch leaders had succeeded to make world realize that Baloch movement was not related to terrorism but a just struggle for their independent home land.

Addressing some Baloch leaders who consider assemblies and parliament as the solution of Baloch problem, he said that parliament had never delivered to Baloch rather further complicated their issues.

“Elections and parliament will keep Baloch slaves within the present arrangement instead of resolving them,” he remarked and, adding that there were also some leaders under the garb of Balochiat (Baloch sympathizers) were playing establishment’s agent and would not be forgiven as national criminals.

About on going sectarian violence in Balochistan, Khan Kalat expressed his sympathy with Hazara-Shai community and said that Baloch had no dispute on religious or sectarian grounds rather paid respect to others sects living in Balochistan. He said that there were some handful terrorist came from neighbouring Punjab province who were bent to harm Hazara-Shia community and causing hatred among different nations and sects.......
