Tit for tat - By Shahsawar Baloch

The recent NATO air strikes on Pakistani army posts in Mohmand Agency, which borders Afghan's eastern province of Kunar, is a matter of 'tit for tat'. Those who are shedding tears and grieving over the loss of their beloved jawans must look at the weary eyes of Baloch daughters waiting for their fathers, parents for their sons, wives for their husbands and sisters for their brothers. They must feel the pain of the Baloch people who regularly receive the severely tortured and bullet-riddled bodies of their loved ones, and proudly bury them in the chest of their motherland.
Meanwhile, countrywide protests are being held and there is a national furore over the NATO attacks. The media is completely and exclusively focused on the issue. But when it comes to the matter of Balochistan and the Baloch, the Pakistani people and media turn a deliberate blind eye. It is no matter if the apex court of Pakistan is quiet with regards to providing the Baloch justice as the court of Allah does not lack justice. History is witness to the fact that nations that perpetrate atrocities on their own people do not survive the wrath of Allah.
